Alan grew up with wildlife playing a major part in his life. His father was a Game Warden in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe, which helped instil the passion in him for fauna and flora. This naturally progressed to his conservation drive.
After leaving school in 1985, AJ started his apprenticeship to become a Professional Hunter in Zimbabwe and Central African Republic. In 1987 he attained his Professional Hunter and Guides’ License in Zimbabwe. In 1998 AJ came to Tanzania where he also got his Tanzanian Professional Hunters’ License. He hunted both Zimbabwe and Tanzania during this time. In 2012, AJ has lived in Tanzania where he concentrated on Hunting and Guiding until today.
He has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience over this time and has set a high priority on sustainable conservation together with ethical hunting.
